This mixed use urban infill redevelopment at Piazza Ciompi captures the dynamic rhythms of the city in a site sensitive design. Interaction with the environment and personalization of the historic urban pattern come though as the traditional rowhouse typology is reinterpreted into a modern form. The rhythmic but ever-changing form complements the historic context of the city and social structures while updating the design expression for contemporary living.
